The NFDA Code of Professional Conduct.
NFDA’s Code of Professional Conduct has been enforceable since January 1, 2004. It outlines the ethical and professional standards to which every NFDA member funeral home must adhere — and raises the bar for the profession as a whole. The Code addresses a member’s obligations in five areas: to the Family, to the Care of the Decedent, to the Public, to the Government, and to NFDA. Enforcement procedures are in place to ensure complaints are investigated and resolved in a fair and consistent manner. NFDA members and consumers alike can contact NFDA at 262-789-1880 with questions about the Code.
